Derek has been involved at a management level with the building industry in the London area for the past 35 years, initially involved in the commercial construction sector, prior to entering the residential sector in the early 90’s, building apartment buildings, townhomes, and custom single-family homes. This variety of building experience has made him a well-rounded professional with a keen attention to detail.

Graystone Custom Homes Ltd. was incorporated in 2011 as a company focusing on custom upscale single-family homes, owned and operated by established Builder Derek Anderson. This venture was in addition to Graystone Development Group Ltd. (est. in 2003) where Derek was 50% owner and fulfilled the role of President/Builder of the company.  Graystone Development Group is no longer developing new residential communities however Graystone Homes continues to build on the success and reputation of Graystone Development Group, developer/builder of the prestigious Enclave, Promenade and Sanctuary developments.

Graystone Homes will focus on serving the single-family and condominium sector of the market in the London area. The primary goal of Graystone Homes is to assist and partner with clients to create and build the home of their dreams, whether it is a luxury custom home or condominium.  Through innovative design solutions, attention to detail, and our team approach, we will earn your trust and extend the excellent reputation and long list of satisfied customers developed by the Graystone name.

Derek sat on the Board of Directors of the London Homebuilders’ Association for twelve years and served as President in 2006/07 and remains actively involved. These executive level contributions have allowed him to remain abreast of important industry issues, code modifications, energy efficiency, while also exchanging ideas with other building professionals across the country. Graystone Homes is also registered under the Ontario New Home Warranty Plan Act.
